Moore hoping for Dutch delight at Nottingham

THE progressive Dutch Masterpiece bids to complete a hat-trick for trainer Gary Moore this evening in the 5f conditions race at Nottingham (7.05).

Already successful at Chester and Newmarket, the three-year-old takes on older horses for the first time, but receives weight from the whole field.

Moore said: "It's a race he gets into quite well, with all the allowances. He's an improving horse and I hope he can go on from this. Any more rain would be suitable, but he'll run as long as there's good ground."

The race has attracted some decent sprinters, including Stepper Point for William Muir, last seen finishing third in a Listed race at Deauville.

Muir said: "We aimed at this to try to get a win into him, but it's a very competitive race and could be a Listed or Group 3 contest. However, he's got a great chance. He ran really well at Royal Ascot and then ran a fantastic race in France. I'd like to think he could get his head in front."

Carlisle is the other Flat meeting in Britain, where the Tote Jackpot could rise to £500,000, plus there are jumps fixtures at Stratford and Worcester.

Carlisle: good to firm
Nottingham: good, good to firm in places
Stratford: good, good to firm in places (watered)
Worcester: good, good to firm in places (watered)
