Debussy: shares favouritism after fancied runners swerved York Stakes

DEBUSSY and Monitor Closely head the market for Saturday's Group 2 Sky Bet York Stakes after declarations revealed numerous defectors, including ante-post leaders Cavalryman and Rainbow Peak.
They are joined on the absent list by The Cheka, Kings Gambit, Antara, Stotsfold and Distant Memories among others.
Prince of Wales's Stakes seventh Debussy will be making his fifth appearance of 2010, while the Michael Bell-trained Monitor Closely, third in last year's Ladbrokes St Leger, is unraced since the Doncaster Classic.
The David Simcock-trained Bushman also goes forward, as does Allybar - trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni - one of a pair of Godolphin-runners which is completed by the Saeed Bin Suroor-trained Balius.
Summit Surge, Dream Lodge and Nanton complete the eight runner line-up.
The Mark Johnston-trained Lowdown, partnered by Frankie Dettori, is likely to go off favourite for the 6f Sky Bet Dash after beingdeclared alongside 19 others, including fancied runners from Barry Hills - Sunraider - and Jim Goldie - Hawkeyethenoo.
