THERE are plenty of old favourites in the veterans' chase at Sandown today and one runner in particular has been proving popular with punters.
The likes of Mad Max, Gwanako and Pigeon Island may stir up happy memories for many jumps fans but it is the Laura Young-trained Tail Of The Bank who has been drawing all the attention in the market.
As big as 8-1 first thing, the relatively lightly-raced ten-year-old, who has pieces of solid chase form, has halved in price to a general 4-1 after significant support.
While the 3.00 contest is wide open, the 2.25 is all about star-in-the-making Captain Conan. His odds for the Grade 1 Scilly Isles Novices' Chase have stayed solid between 1-2 and 2-5.
At Ffos Las local trainer Rebecca Curtis has a raft of strong fancies and a number of her runners have been backed, including Mister W K (13-8 from 15-8), The Romford Pele (10-1 from 12) and The Bear Trap (6-4 from 7-4).
