Channon progressing well in hospital
MICK CHANNON, who sustained serious injuries in a car crash last week, whichclaimed the life of his friendand right-hand man Tim Corby, was on Wednesday reported to be “coming along good” by his racing secretary Susan Harding.
The 59-year old was left with broken bones and a punctured lung, but is on the road to recovery having had surgery to wire his jaw. Harding anticipates the trainer will return home soon, and said:
“He's fine and progressing well. He can't open his mouth that much at the moment, but he should be able to come home in the next few days.”
