St Leger clues could be on offer in Gordon Stakes

CLUES for the Ladbrokes St Leger could be on offer in Tuesday's bet365 Gordon Stakes at Glorious Goodwood as five of the seven runners are entered in the Doncaster Classic.

Michelangelo is the shortest-priced St Leger contender - 10-1 with the sponsor - in the Gordon, while Frankel's brother is Noble Mission is 25-1.

Encke (33-1), Minimise Risk (66-1) and Ed De Gas (66-1) are the other St Leger hopefuls confirmed for the Gordon.

Sixties Icon in 2006 and Conduit two years later used the Gordon, a Group 3, as a stepping stone to winning the St Leger, although red-hot favourite Camelot stands in the way of Tuesday's runners.
