Punters out to oppose favourite Flemenstar
FLEMENSTAR is odds-on to make a winning return at Navan in this afternoon's Grade 2 Fortria Chase but with trainer Peter Casey warning he may need his first race back punters are looking to take on the rising star of Irish chasing.
Both Flemenstar and Big Zeb, who has won this race for each of the last three seasons, have proved easy to back in the early exchanges with Realt Dubh, the pick of Pricewise's Tom Segal cut into 2-1 (from 5-2) across the board.
Flemenstar can now be backed at evens with several firms while Big Zeb is out to a high of 6-1.
With So Young a non-runner in the Grade 2 Lismullen Hurldle earlier on Navan's card, Voler La Vedette is just 1-5 to add to her haul of wins.
At Ffos Las, Celtus is proving popular for the Nicky Henderson/Tony McCoy team for the 2.30 and is now into 2-1 (from 10-3).
The 2.45 at Market Rasen is proving to be a lively betting heat with Prophete De Guye into 2-1 (from 4) and I Need A Hero 6-1 (from 10).
