Punters pounce on Tiger Webb at Wolverhampton
THE Mick Easterby-trained Tiger Webb is vying for favouritism in the concluding 1m½f handicap (5.30) at Wolverhampton today, having started the day as an 8-1 shot.
It has been almost a year since the four-year-old last tasted success but the combination of a plummeting handicap mark and a relatively weak race has seen him supported into 3-1 with Totesport.
In what appears a wide-open contest, there's also each-way support for Focail Eile for Tim Pitt and Graham Lee. Ladbrokes went 16-1 this morning but sustained support has seen the same firm take evasive action and now offer just 5-1.
At Pontefract BetVictor will be hoping Petaluma (3.40) fails to continue the good form of Mick Channon. Most firms made her a 20-1 shot this morning but BetVictor were double those odds. She's a 10-1 chance now.
Mr Spiggott is the main mover on Windsor's card. He makes his debut for Joseph Tuite in the 4.50 and Boylesports go 11-2 (from 12-1).
