IT was 11 years ago today that the favourites won all eight of the races at Catterick and although favourite backers have rarely had it so good since, there has been plenty of support for the market leaders at the same track today.

Five favourites at today's meeting - Mixed Message (2.00), Star Request (2.30), George Rooke (3.30), Blue Dune (4.00) and Bold Cuffs (4.30) have come in for across -the-board support and with another short-priced favourite, Laylas Oasis (3.00), bookmakers will be hoping lightning does not strike twice.
Favourites are also proving popular at Brighton where Nenge Mboko and Scepticism have been backed for the first two races on the card.
Zuzu Angel (11-4 from 9-2) has been well-backed to get her head in front for the first time when she drops to selling company at Leicester for their 3.10.
There are seven non-runners at Leicester, including two in the 3.40 which means that race is now a match between Ennistown and Linguine.
