GODOLPHIN will be without a runner in the Qipco 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket on Saturday after Mahmood Al Zarooni decided both Mandaean and Mighty Ambition would not run.
Mandaean was a general 33-1 chance but as short as 20-1 with Coral, while Mighty Ambition was a 50-1 outsider.
Simon Crisford, Godolphin's racing manager, said: "The Dante is the race we have always been looking at for Mandaean."
Lyric of Light and Discourse remain on course for Sunday's Qipco 1,000 Guineas with who rides each of the unbeaten fillies likely to be decided on Thursday.
