Magnetic Force in great form for Kilbeggan test

KILBEGGAN kicks off its eight-meeting summer season this evening, and Robbie Hennessy is hoping the rain stays away for Magnetic Force in the 2m handicap hurdle (6.20).

The race is restricted to jockeys who have ridden fewer than ten winners since May 1, 2012, and Hennessy has enlisted the services of Barry Cash, who has already won on the six-year-old with the pair victorious at Tramore last April.

Hennessy said: "He's one of the most experienced riders in the field and the horse is in great form. I just hope they don't get much rain as he's not going to run if it turns heavy."

Away from Kilbeggan there is all-weather action from Dundalk, while in Britain Chepstow, Lingfield, Musselburgh, Bangor and Fontwell all stage fixtures.

Bangor: good
Chepstow: good to firm
Dundalk: standard
Fontwell: good to firm, good in places
Kilbeggan: soft, yielding in places
Lingfield: standard
Musselburgh: good
