USA: South African trainer Mike de Kock has confirmed classy mare River Jetez to be on target for the Grade 1 Beverly D Stakes at Arlington on Saturday, August 13 following her fifth-placed finish in the Falmouth Stakes on Friday.
The daughter of Jet Master was beaten only three and a half lengths behind Timepiece in the Etihad Airways-sponsored Group 1 and De Kock told his website: "She gave a good account of herself, needing the run.
"Also the Falmouth was not the ideal preparation race for the Beverly D, but as things came about we had to race her, so we're delighted with her running up so close."
The Beverly D is run on turf over a distance of 1m1½f and is for fillies and mares aged three and above.
