Hughes picks up Western Hymn ride

RICHARD HUGHES has picked up the ride on Derby sixth Western Hymn in Friday's Edward VII Stakes, with William Buick riding stablemate Eagle Top for John Gosden

Successful in the Queen Anne and King's Stand on day one of the meeting, Hughes will also ride Lucky Kristale for the first time in the Coronation Stakes.

A field of 12 has been declared for the Group 1 Coronation Stakes, including Rizeena, Euro Wonder and Kiyoshi. Lightning Thunder will also have a new jockey aboard, with Olivier Peslier replacing Harry Bentley.

For the King Edward VII Stakes, the unbeaten Italian challenger Dylan Mouth lines up for Stefano Botti, along with Snow Sky, Scotland and Bunker among a field of ten.

Impressive Carlisle maiden winner Likely was the most notable absentee for the Albany with a field of 24 juvenile fillies set to do battle.

Last year's Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Just The Judge drops down to handicap company for the first time when carrying topweight in the Wolferton Stakes, while Aidan O'Brien will rely on Century in the Queen's Vase, having won the race last year with Leading Light.
