Trainer Luca Cumani revealed the four-year-old, who had been handed top weight for the £160,000 contest at Newmarket, sustained the injury when winning the Talk To Victor Stakes at York's Ebor meeting.
But he expects a return to action next season for the colt, who was quoted as short as 12-1 for the 1m1f event.
Cumani said: "Danadana isn't running. He suffered a bone injury in the race at York and will be out for the rest of the season. But it's not too serious and he will be fine for next year."
Weights for the 35-runner handicap were published on Wednesday and Chil The Kite, as short as 10-1 - although 14-1 with the sponsor - has been handed 8st 7lb.
The David Simcock-trained Trade Storm, winner of a valuable handicap at York's Ebor meeting and a 16-1 chance with Betfred, will carry 9st 5lb.
Fellow fancy Mukhadram, trained by William Haggas and fourth behind Energiser in a Group 3 event at Royal Ascot, has been allotted 8st 11lb.
