
Lots of non-runners at Ffos Las and Uttoxeter
WET weather never seems to be far away this winter, and there are a host of non-runners at this afternoon's meetings at Ffos Las and Uttoxeter due to easing ground conditions.

With ten millimetres of rain in the last 24 hours, the going is heavy for the Betfred Midlands Grand National, with the hurdles course soft, heavy in the straight and the chute.
The change in the going has led to 16 non-runners, including three in the Grand National, although only Bradley has been ruled out due to the ground.
The 2m4½f novice handicap hurdle has been worst affected, with the original field of 11 reduced to five. At Ffos Las, there was 15mm of rain on Friday, with the ground described as soft, heavy in places and nine non-runners on the card so far.
In the Midlands Grand National, Pricewise pick Chac Du Cadran is proving very popular, now 11-4 having been a 7-2 chance this morning, while Farraaj is favourite for Lingfield's Winter Derby around the 7-4 mark.
