Lingfield: racing could have taken place on Sunday morning

Lingfield to inspect before Monday fixture

MONDAY'S jumps meeting at Lingfield is subject to a 7.30am inspection on the morning of racing.

Prospects for the meeting had looked rather bleak last week but the track wasraceable on Sunday morning and clerk of the course Neil Mackenzie Ross offered an upbeat bulletin on Sunday morning.

 

"Things are looking more positive and the track was raceable this morning," confirmed Mackenzie Ross.

He added: "The forecast was for temperatures to reach -1C last night but the lowest recorded temperature was -0.7C. It is a similar story on Sunday night with lows of around -1C to -2C forecast and we will make a precautionary inspection at 7.3oam.

"Fingers crossed we will be raceable on Monday morning."
