VIDEO: Arvika Ligeonniere was too quick and too classy for his rivals at Leopardstown as he made all the running to beat Oscars Well in the Grade 1 Racing Post Novice Chase.
Willie Mullins, who trains the winner for Rich Ricci, said: "I thought he was getting tired at the finish but Paul [Townend, rider] said he was idling from the turn in. He'll come back here for the Arkle at the end of January."
Oscars Well will be stepping up to two and a half miles by trainer Jessica Harrington as she felt the runners went too fast for her contender.
BetVictor shortened Arvika Ligeonniere into 6-1 (from 7) for the Racing Post Arkle at the Cheltenham Festival.
