Hennessy absentee Jessies may miss season

JESSIES DREAM, 7-1 for Sunday's Hennessy Gold Cup at Leopardstown, has been ruled out of the Grade 1 and could miss the Cheltenham Festival.

The RSA Chase runner-up, who has not run since last year's festival, was pleasing connections until Wednesday morning.

Trainer Gordon Elliott said: "Unfortunately he won't be running on Sunday. I just wasn't happy with him this morning."

Jessies Dream holds entries in the Ryanair Chase and Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup at this year's festival.

However, speaking later on his Betfair blog Elliot said: "He was in great form and schooled really well but today there was no sparkle so at this stage, with time against us, I'm not sure he will make the track at all this season."
