Leicester to inspect for Tuesday meeting
OFFICIALS at Leicester have called an inspection at 8.30am on Tuesday to determine if racing that day can go ahead.
Lower-than-expected temperatures on Monday night could threaten the meeting, but shaded areas of the course are covered and the track is frost free.
Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson said on Monday morning: "We're absolutely fine at the moment. We didn't get the frost forecast last night and if the -3C comes, we should be okay.
"We've just called the inspection in case it gets lower than it's forecast to."
