Le Beau Bai: will face 19 rivals in Saturday's bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown

Leading fancies set for Gold Cup showdown

MAIN market principals Le Beau Bai and West End Rocker were on Friday confirmed for the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown on Saturday.

Coral Welsh National winner Le Beau Bai, who heads the betting at 6-1 with the sponsors, will face 19 rivals in Saturday's 3m5½f contest.

He will be up against the top-weighted Tidal Bay, early Grand National faller West End Rocker plus the Jonjo O'Neill-trained Galaxy Rock, who was pulled up in last Saturday's Coral Scottish National at Ayr.

Your Busy, Qianshan Leader, Pilgrims Lane, Upham Atom and Mumbles Head were not declared at the final confirmation stage on Friday.

Somersby will take on seven rivals, including last year's winner French Opera, in Saturday's bet365.com Celebration Chase at Sandown.

The Henrietta Knight-trained eight-year-old will also face  Wishfull Thinking, who returned to form when second to Finian's Rainbow at Aintree two weeks ago.

Australia Day, Kirby's Glen and Passato were not declared on Friday.
