USA: Kip Deville, winner of the Breeders' Cup Mile in 2007,looks to have won his battle with laminitis (a disease of the hoof) after continuing to show improvement while under the care of the Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington.
"He is doing great," said Michael Iavarone, partner in and spokesman for the horse's owner the IEAH Stable told the Blood-Horse.
"Every day has been better and better for him. Hs is walking around well, eating well and is full of himself. He is clearly headed in the right direction, but it is important to never get too excited."
After winning at theBreeders' Cup in 2007 at Monmouth Park, Kip Deville was runner-up to Goldikova in the Mile at Santa Anita the following season.
