KEVIN RYAN runs Choose Wisely (Stephen Craine) in this first Listed race of the season for two-year-olds in France.

The winner of a maiden auction stakes at Carlisle last month by two lengths, Choose Wisely is up against some precocious two-year-olds including the probable favourite Captain Chop (Flavien Prat).

Trained by Didier Guillemin, who is well known for his early juvenile successes, Captain  Chop is unbeaten in two outings, including a conditions event over the distance  at Chantilly in May by one and a half lengths.

Melody Dawn (Carlos Laffon-Parias/Olivier Peslier) also created a big impression when  winning her only start by four lengths at Longchamp. Laffon-Parias won  consecutive running’s of the Fleche in 2005 and 2006 with Gwenseb and  Sandwaki.

Won last year by subsequent Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere victor Siyouni, the Fleche forms part  of the programme towards the Group 1 Darley Prix Morny in August.

Hector Protector was the last horse to achieve the double in 1990.
