A CLASSIC appears to be on the agenda for Zurigha, who looked a class act in victory on her seasonal reappearance at Kempton on Saturday.
The win prompted bookmakers to slash her price for the Qipco 1,000 Guineas, with Coral taking the most evasive action at 20-1 (from 66s).
The daughter of Cape Cross, a winner at Kempton on her debut at two, also has the option of the French Guineas according to assistant trainer Richard Hannon jnr, who was in no doubt that the yard has another quality performer to look forward to.
He said: "A Guineas is definitely the plan. We've always liked her quite a lot and we still do. She's in both the English and the French Guineas but we'll go away and discuss it with connections.
"She's also in the Fred Darling but that may come too soon. Getting black-type won't be an issue but at what level remains to be seen."
Settled just off the leaders by Richard Hughes, the winner glided into contention before putting the result beyond doubt with a smooth change of gear.
The even-money favourite had a comfortable length and three-quarters to spare over 10-1 runner-up Senafe at the line.
It was a great result for her dam Noyelles, with Zurigha's win coming little more than an hour after her half-sister Lily's Angel landed the Listed Snowdrop Stakes.
