KEITH REVELEY is hoping Victor Hewgo can continue his progression over hurdles with the trainer eyeing a return to Doncaster in late January.
Victor Hewgo came back from three months off when beating seven rivals on rain-softened ground at that track in late November and the trainer is weighing up two options there for his next outing.
Speaking in this week's Racing & Football Outlook, Reveley said: "He is a lovely horse we bred ourselves and have brought along quietly.
"He was a big, gangly horse and he took time over jumps but has improved as he's gone up in trip. He got a 15lb hike for winning at Uttoxeter, but then won at Doncaster which was always going to suit as he got in a lovely rhythm.
"There's a nice three-mile novice hurdle there at the end of the month and I might enter him in the handicap there as well. He's definitely a horse for the future."
