KIEREN FALLON will have his first high profile ride for former boss Sir Michael Stoute since his return from an 18-month riding ban when he partners Spanish Moon in the Breeders' Cup Turf at Santa Anita on November 6.
Fallon has ridden for Stoute since his return and enjoyed his first Grade 1 success since his comeback when partnering the Marco Botti-trained Gitano Hernando to victory in the Goodwood Stakes at Santa Anita a fortnight ago.
Fallon was on gallops duty for Stoute in Newmarket on Saturday morning when partnering the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud and Prix Foy winner in his work with a lead.
Afterwards connections confirmed that Fallon would ride the five-year-old in the 1m4f event in 13 days time.
Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah, said: "Kieren has been booked to ride Spanish Moon in the Breeders' Cup Turf. He quickened up nicely for him in his work and looks in good form ahead of the race."
Stoute has trained the winner of the Breeders' Cup Turf on three occasions with Pilsudski, Kalanisi and last year with Conduit.
