JOCKEY-OF-THE-MOMENT William Buick landed the Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes when John Gosden's Izzi Top quickened impressively in the testing ground to overwhelm favourite Sapphire.
The race had cut up to four runners and for most of the way the quartet were in single file. Pat Smullen set out to make all on Sapphire but had no response when Buick ranged alongside a furlong out and the race was over in a few strides.
Gosden said: "She didn't like that ground, but then not many do. She got through it like the great horse did last night. She's done her best work in the last couple of of weeks so we're happy with that.
"We'll look at all the big Group 1s over a mile and a quarter for her, races like the Nassau, Prix de l'Opera and possibly even the Breeders' Cup could be a possibility for her."
Izzi Top has won her four starts since finishing third in last season's Investec Oaks. Gosden also won the Pretty Polly in 2009 with Dar Re Mi.

SENDMYLOVETOROSE made up for the heartbreak she caused connections at Royal Ascot, making it two from two and landing a Group 3 in the process to provide fair compensation.
Having been withdrawn from the Albany Stakes at the royal meeting after playing up in the stalls, the Andrew Oliver-trained daughter of Bahamian Bouty, who was 9-2 and is owned by John Gildea, powered clear under Colm O'Donoghue to win by one and a quarter lengths from 11-8 favourite True Verdict.
Trainer Oliver said: "We didn't know if there would be any hang-ups after Royal Ascot, but it was very straightforward and everything went to plan".
