PRIMAEVAL, an 11-1 chance with the sponsors for the William Hill Lincoln, looks like missing the race in favour of an alternative engagement at Kempton on the same afternoon.
The James Fanshawe-trained six-year-old will be given an entry in a 7f conditions race at Kempton and the trainer said on Sunday that he is leaning towards running there.
"I have not made a final decision yet, but he is more likely to go to Kempton," said Fanshawe.
Primaeval sits 31st on the list of Lincoln possibles at present and although he would need nine horses to come out to be guaranteed a run, it is his record on Kempton's Polytrack which is making Fanshawe favour that race.
Primaeval has four wins and a second from his seven starts there and Fanshawe added: "It is not set in stone yet, but you only need to look at his record at Kempton."
The son of Pivotal recently returned from a frustrating spell at the Dubai World Cup Carnival, where he finished second on his only start but narrowly missed the cut on two subsequent occasions.
