France: Trainer Brian Meehan has revealed the next race for his St James's Palace Stakes winner Most Improved will be the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville on August 12.
The Lawman colt, forced to miss the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket through injury and out of luck in the Prix du Jockey Club, vindicated his trainer's faith in him with a smooth success in the St James's Palace at Royal Ascot last month.
He has had an easy time since then, but his training regime has picked up again and Meehan, quoted on his website, said: "The Deauville race fits perfectly for him. We look forward to testing Most Improved against his elders and the top European fillies."
Most Improved, owned by Iraj Parvizi, will bid to become the first British-trained winner of the race since 2006 when Saeed Bin Suroor saddled Librettist to victory.
