DAR RE MI is back cantering and on course for the Group 1 Darley Yorkshire Oaks at York's Ebor meeting on August 19.
A bruised foot forced the Dubai Sheema Classic winner out of last weekend's King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot, but she cantered for the first time on Thursday morning and is now back in her daily routine.
Trainer John Gosden said: "It was a nasty bruise and an abscess would have developed if we hadn't stopped with her, but she seems fine now and is heading for the Yorkshire Oaks."
When asked how Dar Re Mi would have fared against the impressive Harbinger in Ascot's showpiece, Gosden replied: "Who knows, but we wouldn't have beaten the winner!"
Bred and owned by Lord and Lady Lloyd-Webber, Dar Re Mi was last in action in the Coral-Eclipse at the start of July.
