PREDICTIONS from bookmakers that Seabass will go off favourite for this afternoon's John Smith's Grand National look like proving to be spot on.
The mount of Katie Walsh has been the best backed horse this morning and is now trading at as short as 6-1.
William Hill report taking 2,000 online bets per minute from 9am this morning and the focus for punters has been the Walsh siblings.
Seabass is the firm's biggest loser, with On His Own [Ruby Walsh's mount] the second most popular selection.
Another horse to have come in for good support for the National (4.15) is Teaforthree. Available at 16-1 first thing, he is now trading at a short as 10-1.
In the opener at Aintree (1.45) Eduard has come in for across-the-board support and is now a 7-2 chance from (9-2).
Away from Merseyside it has been a pretty quiet morning although the Richard Guest-trained Ted's Brother has been backed into 5-2 for the 5.35 at Newcastle having been as big as 9-1 overnight.
