Body was found just hours after I'll Have Another won the Kentucky Derby

USA: The body of a man found at Churchill Downs just hours after I'll Have Another won the 138th Kentucky Derby in front of a record crowd in excess of 165,000 has been named as 48-year-old Adan Fabian Perez.
A Kentucky coroner has refused to release autopsy results at present, but stressed thatPerez's death had no apparent connection to the Derby.
Jo-Ann Farmer, chief deputy coroner for Jefferson County, told the Blood-Horse she was withholding information pending the investigation into the death but did say that the autopsy had revealed injuries on Perez's body.
Louisville Police Lt. Barry Wilkerson said there were several altercations in that area of Churchill Downs following the Derby and police are trying to determine if Perez's death is connected toany of them.
According to a Blood-Horse report, Perez was a native of Guatemala and lived at the track's quarters for workers. The authorities received a call alerting them to the body at 4.50am.
The body was foundin the barn operated by trainer Angel Montano, who did not have a runner in the Derby. Montano's barn is about 150 yards away from that housing Derby winner I'll Have Another.
"Our investigation is ongoing as to why he would havespecifically been at this location," Alicia Smiley, spokeswoman for Louisville Metro Police, told the Blood-Horse
About 200 people live at Churchill Downs at any given time - either in dormitories on the edge of the property or in small apartments above the barns.
