DUBAI World Cup flop Game On Dude (Bob Baffert/Chantal Sutherland) recorded a commanding victory as he returned home to a seven and a quarter-length triumph in the Californian.
Sent off even-money favourite, the five-year-old son of Awesome Again led from the off before winning his first race on a synthetic surface in this trial for the Grade 1 Hollywood Gold Cup on July 7.
"On the backside, I didn't move a muscle," said Sutherland. "I don't even know if I breathed. He was just like on go. He relaxed sweet and the he just took off.
"He made me look like a champion. It's so much fun to ride a horse like that, I can't tell you. It's just like unbelievable, the power and so much endurance. Bob said in the paddock he might be a little short. If that's Bob's short, what the heck?"
Grade 3 winner Kettle Corn was second.
