Arrested Albarado  misses Kentucky Oaks

USA: Top jockey Robby Albarado was arrested for domestic violence in Louisville on Friday morning and misses all his mounts on the Kentucky Oaks card.

Although he did not have a mount in Saturday's Kentucky Derby, he was due to partner Hard Not To Like in the $1 million Oaks, where Rafael Bejarano now takes over.

According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, Albarado was arrested for fourth-degree assault in an alleged case of domestic violence and placed in the local jail.

Albarado, 38, has ridden in excess of 4,000 winners. He is best known as regular rider of Curlin, the dual Horse of the Year aboard whom he won the Preakness Stakes and Breeders' Cup Classic in 2007 and the Dubai World Cup in 2008.

Last year charges against the veteran rider were dismissed after he was arrested for allegedly attacking and choking his wife.
