ALL-THE-WAY Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Hansen (Mike Maker/Ramon Dominguez), a best-priced 16-1 for the Kentucky Derby with British bookmakers, sets off down the Triple Crown route in Florida on Sunday.
The grey son of Tapit, unbeaten in three starts last term, faces five rivals in the Grade 3 Holy Bull Stakes. "We've had no bumps in the road," said trainer Mike Maker. "Hopefully that trend continues."
The front-running colt secured last year's US juvenile championship when holding off the much-vaunted Union Rags in the Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs after two runaway victories on Polytrack at Turfway Park.
Chief rival in the Holy Bull is likely to be Algorithms (Todd Pletcher/Javier Castellano). A son of Bernardini, he is also unbeaten after two starts in lesser company including last time out at Sunday's venue.
Also on Sunday
Gulfstream Park: Forward Gal Stakes (Grade 2) 7f, dirt, 3yo fillies
Sacristy (Wayne Catalano/Kent Desormeaux) will be a strong favourite to take another step towards the Gulfstream Oaks after her victory in the Grade 3 Old Hat.
