Ground to determine All The Aces' Festival aim
ALL THE ACES is likely to have his Cheltenham Festival target determined by the ground with the William Hill Supreme Novices' Hurdle and Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle both options.
Trained by Nicky Henderson, All The Aces defeated Champion Bumper runner-up Destroyer Deployed at Newbury last month having chased home Prospect Wells on his first start since switching from the Flat, where his rating peaked at 115.
The seven-year-old is 20-1 for the Supreme and 25-1 for the Neptune and his owner Alan Spence told At The Races: "He'll go for one of the races at Cheltenham. We'll see how he runs next time and the ground will tell as well. If it's fast at Cheltenham he'd go for the two and a half mile race but if it was slow he'd so for the two mile race.
"He won really nicely [last time]. He's only had two runs and he jumps well and when he jumps he's over straight away and is looking for the next one.
"I expect his next run will be at the start of February, I'm not sure where, and hopefully he'll run a really nice race and give us a nice problem."
