Midnight Haze is as big as 125-1 with Stan James for the Grand National

KIM BAILEY, who tasted Grand National success with Mr Frisk back in 1990, is not ruling out a big run from outsider Midnight Haze in Saturday's 4m4f marathon.
The trainer was also the last to run a Gold Cup winner in the same year's National, when Master Oats finished seventh to Royal Athlete in 1995.
Having sneaked in at the foot of the handicap for Saturday's John Smith's-backed contest, Midnight Haze - a colossal 125-1 with Stan James but as short as 50-1 with Ladbrokes and Boylesports - will carry just 10st and Bailey is not discounting a first four finish.
Quoted on his website, the trainer said: "Midnight Haze might be a longshot in the betting but his form stands out and with a clear round he could surprise and be placed."
Owned by the Kim Bailey Racing Partnership, Midnight Haze has been campaigned with the National in mind according to his trainer and finished sixth in the cross-country chase at the Cheltenham Festival last month.
Bailey added: "Midnight Haze won impressively at Ludlow first time out this season and his long term aim has always been this year's Grand National, so we gave him a long break and his prep run at Cheltenham was encouraging under a good ride from Sean Quinlan, who will again partner him on Saturday."
The going on the Grand National course remained soft, good to soft in places on Wednesday morning following a dry night, while the Mildmay course is described as good to soft, soft in places.
