Aintree: officials will water the Mildmay course with 4-6mm before racing

OFFICIALS at Aintree will water the ground after conditions dried out for the third day running on Thursday.
The going was changed on both courses before racing with the Mildmay and hurdles course good to soft,good in places (from good to soft) and the Grand National course good to soft, good in places at fences 13 and 14 (from good to soft, soft in places).
Having walked the course after racing, clerk of the course Andrew Tulloch said: "We will water the Mildmay course to maintain conditions. It's currently walking good, good to soft in places. We will put between 4 and 6mm down."
Selective watering will take place on the National course with not much change to the going expected for Friday.

Paddy Power go 5-6 each of two Nicky Henderson and Paul Nicholls in the jumps trainers' title race after reigning champion Nicholls bagged two decent prizes thanks to Big Buck's and Edgardo Sol at Aintree on Thursday.
Henderson has nine runners on Friday, including John Smith's Melling Chase contender Finian's Rainbow, who is favourite to land the £98,472.50 winner's pot.
Nicholls, who has 11 runners, holds a strong chance with John Smith's Mildmay Novices' Chase favourite Silviniaco Conti.
