The 6-1 winner, having her first start of the season, quickened up well to win by two and three-quarter lengths from running-on French raider Jehannedarc, who was 25-1.

The Queen's Estimate, a winner at Royal Ascot in June, was third at 3-1.

Jocelyn de Mowbray, representing winning owners Gestut Rottgen, is quoted on Cecil's website saying: "She ran badly last time, but Henry has given her plenty of time and he's always rated her. I'm sure she'll go for better races now, but that's up to the trainer."
