Miles pay off as Sell Out scores for Wragg
REPORT: FRANCE, Wednesday
Chantilly: Prix des Tourelles (Fillies' Listed Race) 1m 4f
WITH retirement imminent, Geoff Wragg made a winner out of a rare runnerin France on Wednesday, when Sell Out took the Listed Prix des Tourelles at Chantilly.
Ridden by Gerald Mosse, Sell Out was always well placed in third on the rail just behind She Hates Me and Alix Road.
When the race quickened up just inside two furlong out, the Act One four-year-old hit thefront and stayed on well to resist Alix Road by half a length, with the Aga Khan's Winkle three-quarters of a length further back in third.
Sell Out then had to survive a stewards' inquiry after drifting off a straight line a furlong from the post but the stewards finally decided that she had not impeded the run of the eventual second.
The winning trainer said: "She ran well, is a nice filly and only came good last month.
"This race was always the objective so future plans are undecided for her at the moment. I don't know if we'll come back to France or not, we'll see."
