Robert Havlin gains Swiss Derby success

JOCKEY Robert Havlin won the Swiss Derby on the Miroslav Weiss-trained Fabrino, coming from last to first on the domestic runner to beat French raider LastAttempt, who was sent off favourite.

The Mark Johnston-trained Pretty Diamond, ridden by Joe Fanning, was a never dangerous eighth, having been forced to race on the outside of the field throughout.

The winner was returned at odds of just over 12-1 and won by two and a half lengths.
