FRANKIE DETTORI has been booked for Elusive Kate in Sunday's Group 1 Prix Jacques le Marois after John Gosden's stable jockey William Buick elected to stick with her stablemate Fallen For You.
Buick will be hoping to avoid a repeat of his mishap at Glorious Goodwood, where he rode Izzi Top in the Group 1 Nassau Stakes only for Richard Hughes to win on stablemate The Fugue.
Dettori is familiar with Elusive Kate, having partnered her to chase home Giofra on her reappearance in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket last month, and Gosden said on Friday: "Frankie rides Elusive Kate and he knows her well."
The Gosden pair are part of a five-strong British challenge for the race, with Cityscape, Caspar Netscher and Most Improved all declared.
Excelebration is Aidan O'Brien's sole runner, with Golden Lilac, Immortal Verse, Moonlight Cloud and Tin Horse all representing France, and they will be joined by Germany's Indomito for the €600,000 contest.
