Zinabaa fairytale goes on with Group 2 victory
Report: France, Tuesday
Saint-Cloud: Prix du Muguet (Group 2) 4yo+, 1m
ZINABAA (Marcel Mace/Yannick Letondeur) continued his fairytale for connections with a narrow victory in the Group 2Prix du Muguet at Saint-Cloud on Tuesday.
Zinabaa's work rider Marie-Beatrice was crying with joy afterwards as Mace, who briefly gave up training in 2007, said: "He's my adventurer and gave me my first 'Tierce' [big handicap], Listed, Group 3 and now Group 2 success.
"It's wonderful as he had a serious leg problem and we nearly gave up. Patience has won the day and after a Group 2 comes a Group 1 so we now go for the Prix d'Ispahan [on May 27] and hope for a little cut."

Saint-Cloud: Prix Balbo
Dual Group 1 winner Gentoo was back in the winner's enclosure after a break of over 18 months when successful in the Prix Balbo at Saint-Cloud.
Now a nine-year-old, Gentoo won the Prix du Cadran and Prix Royal-Oak at Longchamp in 2010. Owner-trainer Alain Lyon said: "He is an old man now and I have no programme for the moment."
