Pau cross-country race given second chance
FRANCE: Three Listed races including the opening round of this season's Crystal Cup cross-country series, have been rescheduled for Pau's final meeting of the winter season on Sunday February 19.
The Philippe Cottin-trained Malbereux had been due to attempt to win a fourth Prix Gaston Bataille over Pau's challenging banks course last Sunday but the jumps element of the meeting was called off at the last minute, after frozen turf tracks at the south west venue failed to thaw sufficiently.
The Grande Course de Haies de Pau and the four-year-old hurdle [the Prix Camille Duboscq] will also be run on the same card.
Original entries will be allowed to stand, with the supplementary stage now on Thursday February 16.
