Gloria De Campeao set for Arlington Million
France: Gloria De Campeao will bid to give French-trained horses back-to-back wins in the Arlington Million on August 8.
Last year, the lucrative Grade 1 contest went to Sprit One, who became the third Chantilly-based winner of the famous Chicago contest.
Having denied the Luca Cumani-trained Presvis in the Group 1 Singapore Airlines International Cup last time, ex-Brazilian Gloria De Campeao is likely to face another Cumani representative in last year's Italian Derby winner Cima De Triomphe.
Before his Singapore success, the six-year-old Gloria De Campeao was runner-up to Well Armed in the Dubai World Cup.
The seven-time winner has been given a break since winning in Singapore in May.
"He has been ticking over nicely at home and I am very pleased with him," said trainer Pascal Bary. "The horse will again be ridden by T.J. Pereira."
