Cooper satisfied with Tingle ground for Pady

TRAINER Tom Cooper has given Arkle winner Forpadydeplasterer the go-ahead to run in Saturday's Keith Prowse Hospitality Tingle Creek after satisfying himself ground conditions at Sandown would not hinder his stable star too much.

Although the ground on Sandown's chase course is described as soft, Cooper believes it is no where near as testing as conditions in Ireland.

"The horse is great," Cooper said on Friday morning.

"He travelled over great and the track will really suit him. The Railway fences take a lot of jumping.

Tony McCoy: partners Forpadydeplasterer

  PICTURE: Edward Whitaker

"He ran in four Grade 1s last year and he was second in three of them on soft to heavy ground in Ireland. The ground is soft but nothing like in Ireland."

Tony McCoy will ride Forpadydeplasterer for the first time on Saturday after Barry Geraghty opted to partner the Colm Murphy-trained Tingle Creek favourite Big Zeb, but Cooper is not too perturbed by that.

"I suppose I am a bit disappointed, but he [Geraghty] has to do whathe has to do. He [McCoy] is the best."

Forpadydeplasterer was last seen finishing second to Herecomesthetruth in the Grade 2 Ladbrokes.com Chase at Down Royal and Cooper added: "He's improved immensely from that."
