Fontwell loses Sunday card due to frozen track

FONTWELL abandoned Sunday's fixture on Saturday as the cold weather continues to disrupt the fixture list.

An inspection had been scheduled for 12.30pm on Saturday, but the meeting was cancelled shortly after 10am with the track frozen solid.

Clerk of the course Ed Arkell said: "We got down to -6C last [Friday] night and it's frozen solid everywhere."
