Fairyhouse to check again on Saturday

FAIRYHOUSE officials will stage an 8am inspection on Saturday for the afternoon meeting.

The track was examined at 4pm on Friday and found to be unraceable after several nights of heavy frost.

A second look was scheduled with manager Peter Roe saying that "if the balls bounce the way they say they will, we'll be fine".

He explained: "The track improved a helluva lot during the day and it is to continue to be cold until about midnight, but there is a warm front coming across by five or six o'clock tomorrow morning, which is expected to be up to around 5C.

"If that forecast is right then we should be okay."
