Following an inspection at 8am course manager Peter Roe reported things to be improving, but not quickly enough for the go-ahead.
He said: "We'll look again at 10.30am. Temperatures are improving and significantly from last night but we're not quite over the line yet. We've had 0.5mm of rain, the temperature is 7C [at 8.15am] and forecast to get to 10C."
