Supplemented Banoffee backed for Oaks glory
BANOFFEE was the springer in the Investec Oaks market on Saturday after connections supplemented her at a cost of £30,000 for Friday's Classic at Epsom.
The unbeaten Cheshire Oaks winner features among a possible field of 12 for the race and was cut to 7-1 (from 9-1) with Paddy Power to give trainer Hughie Morrison a first Classic success.
Moth forms part of a possible three-strong challenge for Aidan O'Brien, who also left Snow Queen and Say in the race on Saturday morning.
Say has also attracted support, with Paddy Power going 9-1 (from 12-1). The same firm make Snow Queen a 14-1 chance.
