A TOTAL of 14 fillies have stood their ground for next Friday's Investec Oaks, with the Aidan O'Brien-trained Maybe heading the field as the 11-4 favourite.
At the latest forfeit stage on Saturday, Maybe was one of six possible runners from Ballydoyle as the unbeaten Kailani was supplemented by Godolphin at a cost of £20,000.
An impressive winner of the Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket earlierin the month, the daughter of Oaks heroine Kazzia has been inserted as a general 8-1 chance for the Classic.
All the major contenders stood their ground, with the most notable absentee being Dalkala for Alain De Royer-Dupre, who had been as short as 14-1.
