Trained by Sir Mark Prescott for Cheveley Park Stud, Clinical sat handy under Luke Morris, tracking the decent pace set by Barefoot Lady.
The 7-1 winner quickened up smartly and held on from 9-2 chance Joviality with Barefoot Lady, who returned at 4-1, in third.
A three-time winner at Listed level last term, Clinical was winning a Group race for the first time and justified connections' decision to keep her in training.
Prescott said: "She was third in the race last year, but it was a bit disappointing we couldn't get a Group win into her.
"She had to win a Group race to justify staying in training - thank god."
Morris, who was riding the daughter of Motivator for the first time, added: "Things worked out well today. She's a very tough and classy filly. We got the perfect sit off Barefoot Lady and my filly picked up well and stuck it out."
